Marginal and Internal Fit of Ceramic Prostheses Fabricated from Different Chairside CAD/CAM Systems: An In Vitro Study

چکیده

The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate marginal and internal fits ceramic crowns fabricated with chairside computer-aided design manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems. An experimental model based on ISO 12836:2015 digitally scanned different intraoral scanners (Omnicam (CEREC), EZIS PO (DDS), CS3500 (Carestream)). Ceramic were using the CAD/CAM process recommended by each system (CEREC, EZIS, Carestream systems; N = 15). 3-dimensional (3D) fit crown measured a 3D inspection software (Geomagic control X). Differences among systems various measurements evaluated Kruskal–Wallis test. Statistically significant differences validated pairwise comparisons (? 0.05). Occlusal gaps CEREC, groups 113.0, 161.3, 438.2 µm, respectively (p < 0.001). axial 83.4, 78.0, 107.9 respectively. 77.8, 99.3, 60.6 respectively, whole 85.9, 107.3, 214.0 Significant observed compared other two terms gap sizes. CEREC showed no four regions. However, did show statistically difference All three judged be capable fabricating clinically acceptable prostheses, because gap, which is most important factor recorded below 100 µm all

Marginal and internal fit of all-ceramic crowns fabricated with two different CAD/CAM systems.

This study evaluated the accuracy of marginal and internal fit between the all-ceramic crowns manufactured by a conventional double-layer computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system and a single-layer system. Ten standardized crowns were fabricated from each of these two systems: conventional double-layer CAD/CAM system (Procera) and a single-layer system (Cerec 3D). The...

Marginal and internal fit of zirconia based fixed dental prostheses fabricated with different concepts

The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the precision of fit of substructures milled from semi-sintered zirconia blocks, fabricated with two different fabrication concepts. Three-unit, posterior fixed dental prostheses (FDP) were fabricated for standardized dies (n = 10) with the laboratory Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) system Cercon® Brain (Brain) and...

Evaluation of marginal fit and internal adaptation of zirconia copings fabricated by two CAD - CAM systems: An in vitro study

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Three main factors which determine the success of an All-ceramic restoration are esthetic value, resistance to fracture and third being the marginal fit. Marginal fit and internal adaptation are crucial factors in increasing the longevity of the restoration. Newer and economical CAD CAM systems have been introduced claiming better marginal fit and adaptation of All ceramic ...

Marginal and Internal Fit of Cobalt-Chromium Fixed Dental Prostheses Generated from Digital and Conventional Impressions

Objectives. Digital impressions are increasingly used and have the potential to avoid the problem of inaccurate impressions. Only a few studies to verify the accuracy of digital impressions have been performed. The purpose of this study was to compare the marginal and internal fit of 3-unit tooth supported fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) fabricated from digital and conventional impressions. Meth...

The fit of cobalt-chromium three-unit fixed dental prostheses fabricated with four different techniques: a comparative in vitro study.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to evaluate and compare the marginal and internal fit in vitro of three-unit FDPs in Co-Cr made using four fabrication techniques, and to conclude in which area the largest misfit is present. METHODS An epoxy resin master model was produced. The impression was first made with silicone, and master and working models were then produced. A total of 32 three-unit Co-C...
